![]() ![]() I think that there is an issue with Call of Duty's network code which causes routers with firewalls to have issues connecting to the servers.Ĭan anyone help me find a workaround to this issue or will I not be able to play MW at all? ![]() They said that they have seen issues with call of duty black ops 4 and that they had found a workaround to make it work but recently that workaround stopped working. I called Motorola and they said that my router has not had a firmware update in over two years. They said that a firmware update to my router was the cause of the issue. IW support then told me that because I have a Motorola MG7500 router that I would not be able to play the game. I cleared my alternate MAC on my Xbox which didn't work either. After finding this out I set up a static IP, opened TCP ports: 53,80,3074 and UDP ports:53,88,500,3074,3075,3544, and 4500 on my router but still had no luck. After connecting to the hot spot I had no problem connecting to the servers and playing. I then disconnected my wired connection and connected my Xbox to my phones mobile hotspot. I spoke with IW support and restarted my Xbox one X and restarted my router which didn't work. when I load the game and get to the start screen and hit a to connect I have not been able to. I did about 5 hours of troubleshooting yesterday trying to connect to the online services. If this is something that won’t be fixed in time for the beta period, just tell us so we don’t sit here reinstalling, reloading, changing connection types, etc! ![]() No one at Activision seems to know how to fix this and most inquiries are ignored. U/ashtonisVULCAN_IW has responded to a couple but on each has only asked for the affected players gamertags/IDs. ![]() Most of these are from last weeks beta and some comments show that even a week later, they’ve received no further help and no resolution. Just by searching “online services” on this subreddit alone you will see numerous posts: I’m seeing tons of people affected by this issue across Reddit and Twitter. ![]()
